Our History

Our story spans nearly a century, beginning in 1926 with the founding of Boston Harbor Cruises. Decades later, in 1980, Terry MacRae acquired Hornblower Tours in Berkeley, California, officially launching what would become the Hornblower legacy we know today.

Our Brands

The brand heritage of our organization dates back over 100 years with the establishment of Boston Harbor Cruises in Massachusetts in 1926. On the West Coast of the United States, Hornblower Group began in 1980. Across our growing portfolio, we have a long-standing history of expertise and innovation and have continually redefined the marine hospitality industry.

In Partnership with Top Brands

At Hornblower Group, we create unforgettable experiences across land and water — from iconic cruises to curated onshore adventures. Our partnerships open the door to meaningful, memorable connections with diverse audiences. Together, we craft experiences that inspire, engage, and leave a lasting impression.
